SLIC donates Rs. 10 m to ‘Rebuild Sri Lanka’ Fund

SLIC donated Rs. 10 million to the ‘Rebuild Sri Lanka’ Fund in support of families affected by the recent ‘Ditwah’ cyclone.

The contribution was formally handed over to the Secretary to the Treasury, Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma, at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development on 16 March 2026. This donation will contribute towards national relief and recovery efforts aimed at assisting communities impacted by the disaster.

SLIC Chairman Nusith Kumaratunga, SLIC Life CEO Nalin Subasinghe, SLIC General CEO Dr. Sameera Dharmasena, and SLIC Life CFO Sriyani Kulasinghe were present at the occasion.

Through this initiative, SLIC reaffirm their commitment to social responsibility, underscoring the importance of collective action in supporting communities and contributing to national recovery efforts.
