Ruwan Rajapakse named new MD/Executive Director of Hayleys Fibre

Hayleys Fibre PLC has appointed Ruwan Rajapakse as Managing Director and Executive Director of the company.

The appointment will take effect on 1 April 2026.

Rajapakse possesses over 30 years of professional experience with more than 20 years of international exposure, serving in senior leadership positions across global manufacturing, supply chain management, agriculture, and international trade.

He previously served as Global Chief Production Officer of the Jiffy Group and as a Member of the Group’s top management, headquartered in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where he led the company’s global production, operations, and supply chain across multiple facilities in Europe, North America, and Asia. Prior to this, he served as Director/CEO of Hayleys Agri Horticulture Sector and has also held senior leadership roles at Hayleys Advantis and Maersk Line, focusing on global trade strategy, logistics, and international market development.

Rajapakse holds an MBA from the University of Colombo, a BSc from the University of Kelaniya, and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA – Australia). He is also Lean Six Sigma Black Belt qualified in Manufacturing. He actively contributes to several national and international business and export-related

organisations.
