Resus Energy commissions 2MW solar plant in Ampara

Resus Energy PLC yesterday said it has commissioned its 2MW solar power plant at Damana, Ampara, with commercial operations having begun on 18 September 2026.

The plant was developed and implemented through Resus Eastern Solar Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Resus Energy PLC, and is expected to generate and supply approximately 3.5 GWh of clean energy annually to the national grid.

The company said the plant further strengthens the group’s renewable energy portfolio and supports Sri Lanka’s transition towards sustainable energy.
