Ravi Abeysuriya joins Colombo City Holdings Board

Top professional Ravi Abeysuriya has joined the Board of Colombo City Holdings PLC as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Controlling interest of the company is held by Ambeon Holdings PLC.

Abeysuriya is currently the Director/CEO of Candor Group and holds directorships in several other corporates. He is also the President of the Association of Alternative Financial Institutions, Advocacy Chair and Board Director of CFA Society Sri Lanka, Council Member of Sri Lanka Institute of Directors and Co-Chair of the National Agenda Committee-Finance and Capital Markets, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Codes of Conduct Review Committee appointed by the Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. 

Formerly, he has held key positions in reputed corporates and has served in several commissions/committees of regulatory entities, namely the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka, Central Bank of Sri Lanka and was also a permanent member of the Financial Sector Reforms Committee and a member of the Prime Ministerial Task Force. 

Ravi is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK, Chartered Global Management Accountant, USA and a Chartered Financial Analyst, USA and has an MBA from Monash University, Australia. Abeysuriya was named as ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award laureate by CFA Institute, USA in 2017 for his outstanding work and dedication to the investment management profession.

Following the latest appointment, the Board of Colombo City Holdings comprises of Chairman A.G. Weerasinghe, Executive Director and CEO K.S. Narangoda, A.W. Atukorala, C.S. Devasurendra, Y. Kanagasabai and D.R. Abeysuriya.
