RRISL, PRISL hold joint seminar on “Graphene Applications in Natural Rubber Technologies”

The Rubber Research Institute of Sri Lanka (RRISL) and the Plastics and Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka (PRISL), recently organised a well-attended seminar on “Graphene Applications in Natural Rubber Technologies.”

It was conducted by the eminent personality CAMI Consultancy Ltd., Cambridge, UK Managing Director and Founder Dr. Mallika Bohm, who is also a Visiting Fellow, Imperial College, London, UK.

The event was graced by the Rubber Research Board Chairman Lakshman Abeysekera, RRISL Acting Director Dr. Susantha Siriwardena, Acting Additional Director Dr. Dilhara Edirisinghe and PRISL Vice President Dr. Upul Ratnayaka.

The significance of the event as a positive step towards the collaboration between the state and the private sector in jointly collaborating towards the development of the rubber sector was emphasised during the inaugural addresses.

Over 80 participants from the private sector, academics and students from universities joined the seminar which was conducted as a physical and virtual event highlighting the quest for knowledge in the emerging technologies.
