Pride Rock Partners, a Sri Lankan company specialised in Ceylon Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oils, cemented its position on the global stage when it hosted a session at the World Aroma Ingredients Congress and Expo 2026 organised by the Essential Oil Association of India from 16 March to 18 March, at Hotel Fairmont Mumbai.
The congress brought together leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, and policymakers who represent the global fragrance and flavour ecosystem under the theme “Scents and Tastes of Tomorrow.”
Pride Rock Partners Partner and Chief Executive Officer Rukmal Jayasinghe delivered a technical session titled “Sri Lanka in the Global Fragrance and Flavours Value Chain: Opportunities, Challenges and Growth Strategies,” which focused on the history of Sri Lanka’s spice industry from the medieval age through maritime trade across the Indian Ocean and provided a country snapshot which positioned Sri Lanka as a strategic sourcing origin for essential oils and aroma chemicals.
The session also delivered focused insights into national production capacity in essential oil export and import volumes, key growing regions for essential oil and their agro-climatic advantages, emerging market and product trends, evolving extraction and processing technologies, innovation, quality measures, and new commercial and investment opportunities for Sri Lanka in the global essential oil industry.
The conference served as a platform that facilitated dialogue and knowledge exchange among global companies in the essential oil and aroma supply chains, from distillers to formulators, exporters, and world-renowned brands, strengthening partnerships, raising industry standards through innovative practices and quality benchmarks, and ensuring sustainable growth and opportunities in the global fragrance and flavours industry.
