Power and Energy Ministry reviews comprehensive fuel strategy for next year

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera chaired a meeting to assess and strategise the country’s fuel supply dynamics for the next 12 months. 

Addressing critical aspects ranging from fuel cargo plans to financial balance sheets, the meeting aimed to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply, particularly during holidays and address pertinent issues related to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).

Key highlights of the meeting included a thorough review of fuel cargo payment plans, Iranian credit line payments, storage capacity additions, jet fuel supply, fuel pricing formula and other issues related to CPC.
