People’s Bank celebrates Thai Pongal

People’s Bank conducted Thai Pongal celebrations at its Kotahena and Pettah branches under the patronage of People’s Bank Chairman Prof. Narada Fernando and Chief Executive Officer/General Manager Clive Fonseka.

A series of Hindu religious observances were held during the celebrations, invoking blessings upon the country, its people, customers, and the staff of People’s Bank. Members of the Corporate and Executive Management, together with staff and a large gathering of People’s Bank customers, were present at these occasions. In addition, People’s Bank branches in areas predominantly populated by the Hindu community remained open for banking services on this day.
