Niveyn Nanayakkara has joined the Boards of LOLC Group companies Udapussellawa Plantations PLC, Hapugastenne Plantations PLC and Tea Smallholders Factories PLC as Executive Director.

Nanayakkara is an emerging corporate leader within the LOLC Group, where he is involved in advancing digital transformation initiatives across a globally diversified business portfolio. His role spans multiple sectors, reflecting a directorial mandate that links a broad corporate base with technology-led innovation.

He currently serves on the boards of several entities within the Group, including Browns EV Ltd., Browns Power Holdings Ltd., Browns Hotels and Resorts Ltd., Browns Plantation Holdings Ltd., Maturata Plantations Ltd., Pussellawa Plantations Ltd., and Melfort Green Teas Ltd., contributing to strategic oversight across industries ranging from energy and mobility to plantations and hospitality.

At board level, Nanayakkara focuses on improving operational efficiency and supporting sustainable growth through the adoption of Artificial Intelligence. He promotes a “human-in-the-loop” approach, combining automation with human oversight to maintain productivity while managing risk and preserving operational discipline.

His approach is underpinned by a background in finance and academia. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of Melbourne. He has also completed a corporate leadership and technology program conducted by Ernst and Young at Stanford University and University of California, Berkeley, reflecting exposure to global practices in enterprise innovation.
