Initiative to introduce greater shopping convenience for AMEX cardmembers

Nations Trust Bank PLC (NTB), the issuer and sole acquirer of American Express Cards in Sri Lanka, has announced a new partnership with KOKO, one of the country’s leading Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solution providers.

Through this collaboration, American Express Cardmembers of Nations Trust Bank can utilize their cards as a payment method on the KOKO app, increasing their convenience and flexibility while shopping across a wider network.

Cardmembers can now make purchases at over 6,000 KOKO-partnered online and in-store merchants thanks to this partnership, and many of these previously did not provide installment plans directly on American Express Cards. In addition to earning Membership Rewards points for eligible KOKO transactions made with an American Express Card issued by Nations Trust Bank, cardmembers will also benefit from special promotions, discounts, and benefits offered throughout KOKO’s partner network.
