Miss Sri Lanka wins Soorya-ignited Youth Top40 Awards

Sri Lanka’s trusted household brand Soorya ignited the Youth Top40 Awards 2025 presented by New Generation Sri Lanka, which was won by University of Kelaniya alumni, reigning Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World Aundi Gunasekara at Shangri-La Hotel Colombo.

Gunasekara is a past pupil of Anuradhapura Central College and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Relations and Affairs. Gunasekara is a model, beauty queen, and social activist. She was crowned Miss World Sri Lanka 2024 and represented Sri Lanka at the 72nd Miss World pageant in Hyderabad in 2025.

Gunasekara is the Founder of Saheli Sri Lanka, a non-profitable organisation which aims to combat period poverty Sri Lanka.
