Misa Tea Factory (Garden Leaf) betters own record

Misa Tea Factory under the selling mark ‘Garden Leaf’ achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 10,500 per kg for an FBOPFExSp grade, surpassing its own record of Rs. 10,450 per kg for the same grade in the Premium Flowery category at the weekly Online Tea Auctions held on 15/16 November.

This factory is located in Kitulgala in the Kalani Valley agro-climatic sub district. The factory is ISO 22000 certified for food safety and management, ensuring good quality standards are met throughout the production process. The factory manufactures around 100,000 kg of high-quality black tea per month.

Misa Tea Factory is owned and managed by Misa Tea Plantations Ltd. under the stewardship of Riyaz Odayar and Factory Executive Dayan Chandima.

This line of tea was sold and marketed by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd
