Eram Group, a business conglomerate with global operations in several sectors including oil and gas, power, construction, manufacturing, travel, healthcare, IT, media, logistics, automotive and training and education held discussions with the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Chairman and Senior Officials from Colombo Port City. Eram Group with over 40 companies has its global headquarters in AL Khobar (Saudi Arabia) and regional headquarters in Dubai (UAE) and has presence in 16 countries.

The discussion with Eram Group Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Siddeek Ahmed was to foster greater cooperation on promoting Port City Colombo for potential investors. Dr. Ahmed was listed as a top Indian business leader in the Middle East by Forbes in 2021 and a receipt of the 2021 Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award, the highest honour conferred on overseas Indians.

Colombo Port City endeavours to offer a “one-stop” service centre, with far-reaching tax and regulatory incentives, free trade facility, forex and banking ring-fencing, an open labour market and a very attractive living environment focused on green and smart living.
