Leema Creations embraces solar energy

Leema Creations, Sri Lanka’s premier interior solutions provider, has taken a significant step towards sustainability by installing and commissioning a 500kWp / 400kW Solar PV System at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Dompe.

The project was undertaken by David Pieris Renewable Energy Ltd. This initiative is a bold stride and smart alternative towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reduction of electricity bills and also to positively contribute to the environment by producing cleaner and greener energy whilst aligning with global sustainability efforts and supporting Sri Lanka’s growing energy demands and environmental well-being.

Founded in the year 2000, Leema Creations is ISO certified, and operates a state-of-the-art production facility covering a floor area of over 200,000 square feet, spread over a land mass of four acres. The factory produces furniture and related interior fit-out solutions of the highest quality transcending the ordinary in the interior industry. By generating its own electricity, the company reduces dependence on fossil fuels and coal, mitigates the risks of energy disruptions and reduces energy costs.
