Lanka Business TV and DailyFT/Lankadeepa FT concluded a successful edition of its flagship ‘Wiyawasayakaya’ Business and Investment Summit at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Galle. The event attracted an enthusiastic audience of more than 250 participants including entrepreneurs, aspiring business owners, investors, and members of the public eager to build stronger economic and financial knowledge.
This summit is part of Lanka Business TV’s nationwide initiative to make practical business education and investment insights accessible to all Sri Lankans.
Lanka Business TV Founder and CEO Jayantha Kovilagodage said: “Our mission with ‘Wiyawasayakaya’ is to empower everyday Sri Lankans with the economic literacy needed to thrive in today’s world. The event featured a keynote address by CEO advisor and trainer Dr. Ranil Sugathadasa, while Araliya Group Chairman Dudley Sirisena delivered the special guest address. It also included specialist sessions led by NDB Wealth Management Chief Executive Officer Ruwan Perera, Senior Psychological Counsellor and Therapist Chaminda Weerasiriwardena, and Central Bank of Sri Lanka Deputy Director N.A. Aruna Wijesiri.
Topics spanned strategic entrepreneurship, wealth management, macroeconomic trends, and the psychological dimensions of business success, delivering actionable value to all attendees.
The event also included interactive elements and lucky draws. A standout prize, a return air ticket to Bangkok, was awarded to one lucky participant, adding excitement to the day.
Building on the overwhelming success in Galle and previous districts, Lanka Business TV, together with its media partner DailyFT/Lankadeepa FT, is actively preparing a series of additional ‘Wiyawasayakaya’ summits across Sri Lanka throughout 2026, aiming to reach even wider audiences and continue fostering a more economically empowered nation.
