The highly acclaimed “Entrepreneur” Business and Investment Summit, organised by Lanka Business TV in collaboration with Lankadeepa FT, was held with great success at the Royal Kandyan Hotel in Kandy, attracting approximately 250 entrepreneurs. The event, which took place recently, was marked by enthusiastic participation and significant engagement from the business community.
Speaking at the summit, Lanka Business TV Founder and Chief Executive Officer Jayantha Kovilagodage highlighted the event’s growing prominence, stating that it has become the most popular business summit held outside Colombo, with an unprecedented number of entrepreneurs in attendance. He emphasised that the summit’s ability to empower participants with actionable knowledge to strengthen their entrepreneurial journey has contributed to its increasing popularity.
The keynote address, titled “Driving Business Success through Management,” was delivered by Senior Professor Ajantha Dharmasiri, a renowned management expert and former Director of the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM). Other distinguished speakers included Central Bank of Sri Lanka (Matale) Regional Manager Yasini Vibhusha Rajapaksha, NDB Wealth Management Chief Executive Officer Ruwan Perera, a prominent entrepreneur Mahendra Jayasekara, and an online entrepreneur Janith Wickramasinghe. Their presentations provided valuable insights into business and economic strategies.
During the event, Lanka Business TV also officially launched its English and Sinhala economic news and analysis websites, further expanding its digital presence and commitment to delivering high-quality business content.
The summit drew participants not only from the Kandy District but also from distant regions, reflecting its wide appeal. Attendees expressed their satisfaction, noting that the event delivered the business and economic knowledge they had anticipated.
