LCMA Chief reiterates support to confectionery industry

Lanka Confectionery Manufacturers Association re-elected Chairman S.M.D. Suriyakumar recently reassured its commitment to support and guide the membership to navigate through the turbulent times.

“During the past two years with the assistance and contribution of the membership, we were able to remain a strong and united industry while fulfilling consumers’ demands,” he said at the 29th Annual General Meeting.

Suriyakumar highlighted that the LCMA has played an active role in finding solutions to the issues faced by the industry and has supported the membership through continuous lobbying with relevant administrative authorities and bureaucrats. 

During the 29th AGM, Samitha Perera was re-elected as Vice President, and Asoka Bandara was appointed as Treasurer, whilst Lasantha Perera and Thilanka de Soysa were appointed as new committee members.
