IDB partners CIPM Sri Lanka to strengthen HR systems at IDB

The Industry Development Board (IDB) has officially partnered with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Sri Lanka to enhance its human resource framework, with a focus on developing job descriptions and establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for nearly 600 employees.

The launch event took place on 4 April at the IDB Head Office in Katubedda, Moratuwa. The collaboration will be led by CIPM Consultant and industry specialist Prasanna Liyanaarachchi, who will guide the implementation process and deliver targeted training to IDB staff.

Key attendees from the IDB included Chairman Ravi Nissanka, Director General Suranga Gunarathne, and Board Members Dr. N.C. Sapumanage, Sujith Bombuwala, Gamini Wijekoon, and Mangala Silva. Representing CIPM were Director – Professional and Academic Affairs G. Weeratunga, Head – Sustainability and Facility Management Chandima Pinsiri, and Manager – Business School Operations Lashika Liyanaarachchi.

This initiative reflects a shared commitment to institutional efficiency, accountability, and professional HR development in Sri Lanka’s public sector.
