Ex-Pack Corrugated Cartons PLC has appointed Hassan Kassim to its Board as a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director. 

Kassim serves as the Deputy Chairman and Group Director of Aberdeen Holdings Ltd., one of Sri Lanka’s leading diversified conglomerates with investments spanning aviation, logistics, financial services, commodities, packaging, travel, and consumer businesses. The Group’s portfolio includes notable enterprises such as FitsAir, Sri Lanka’s only privately held airline; Fits Express, the sole authorised UPS agent in Sri Lanka; Expack PLC, a publicly listed leader in corrugated packaging solutions; and Baraka, a premium herbal and wellness brand with an international presence.

Kassim plays a pivotal role in shaping the Group’s long-term strategy, strengthening governance frameworks, and driving sustainable value creation across its diverse portfolio of companies. He is also the Founder and Director of Expo Commodities Global Ltd., a Presidential and National Export Award-winning spice exporter with sourcing operations across multiple global origins.

In addition, Hassan Kassim serves as the Managing Director of Amana Takaful PLC, one of Sri Lanka’s fastest-growing and most awarded insurance companies. In this role, he leads the company’s strategic growth, operational performance, and governance initiatives.

Kassim holds a BA (Hons.) Degree in Management Studies from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. In recognition of his leadership and contribution to the insurance sector, he was awarded the Young Leader Award at the 26th Asia Insurance Industry Awards (AIIA) 2022, becoming the first Sri Lankan to receive this prestigious regional recognition. The achievement marked a significant milestone for both Amana Insurance and the Sri Lankan insurance industry, particularly as it came during a period of significant economic challenges in the country.

With cross-sector leadership experience spanning conglomerate strategy, aviation, logistics, global commodities, and financial services, Hassan Kassim continues to champion disciplined growth, institutional excellence, and strong governance across the organisations he leads.
