Employee at an office in World Trade Centre tests COVID positive

Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC yesterday informed all tenants of the World Trade Centre that an employee of Acuity Knowledge Partners Lanka Limited on the West Tower 32nd  floor at the World Trade Center has tested positive for Covid-19 on 20 October.

As per Acuity Knowledge Partners Lanka Ltd., the affected employee has last visited the building on 8 October. The tenant has informed that their office has been closed, contact tracing completed and staff members who have been in contact with the affected employee will be subjected to PCR tests.

“A thorough and deep disinfection of the floor including the washrooms and other common areas have been carried out,” the Company said.  “The World Trade Center and the tenant are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to take precautionary measures in consultation with officers of the Ministry of Health,” the statement added.
