The Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Maldives has chosen to relocate its offices to Mireka Tower, one of Colombo’s premier Grade A commercial office developments, marking a significant milestone in the Embassy’s longstanding presence in the country.
This decision marks its first relocation in more than 50 years.
Developed and managed by Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC, Mireka Tower offers premium office spaces, advanced security, sustainable building features, and a strategic location, making it a preferred address for leading multinational corporations, international organisations, and diplomatic missions.
French Ambassador to Sri Lanka and the Maldives Rémi Lambert said: “The relocation of the Embassy to Mireka Tower marks an important new chapter in our presence in Sri Lanka. From our new home in Colombo, we look forward to continuing to strengthen the longstanding friendship and cooperation between France and Sri Lanka.”
The lease agreement was formally signed at a ceremony attended by representatives of the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC.
Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC Director and Chief Executive Officer Pravir Samarasinghe said: “We are honoured to welcome the Embassy of France to Mireka Tower. The Embassy’s decision to establish its new offices here reflects the confidence placed in the quality and standards of our Mireka Office Tower.
