The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) is set to host the Southern Province Regional Exporters’ Networking Forum on 24 February in Matara.

The primary objective of the forum is to identify the challenges faced by regional exporters, empower them, and explore new opportunities for growth.

Exporters and Government officials representing the districts of Galle, Matara, Hambantota, and Monaragala are expected to participate in the event.

The Forum will be presided over by Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunneththi, and will provide a unique platform for exporters to directly present their concerns to the Minister and engage in open dialogue.

Heads of relevant Government institutions as well as Export Development Officers attached to district and Divisional Secretariat offices will also be in attendance, with the aim of providing swift solutions to exporters’ issues.

To ensure more productive discussions, the Southern Province Office of the EDB has already begun collecting specific concerns and proposals from exporters in the region.
