EDB invites applications for Presidential Export Awards 2024/25

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) yesterday announced that it officially opened applications for the prestigious Presidential Export Awards (PEA) 2024/25.

The 27th edition is scheduled to be held in December 2025, under the patronage of the President Anura Kumara Disanayake, in a ceremony at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

The PEA represents the highest national recognition conferred by the President of Sri Lanka to honour outstanding contributions made by Sri Lankan exporters to the export sector and the national economy.

This year, too, exporters are provided with the opportunity to submit their applications online via the official web portal: https://pea.edb.gov.lk. The portal provides comprehensive details including award categories, guidelines, evaluation criteria, instructional videos for application submission, and testimonials from previous winning companies.

The Awards aims to recognise and reward excellence in export performance and to motivate exporters who have rendered exceptional service towards Sri Lanka’s economic advancement.

The PEA program was first launched by the EDB in 1981. Since then, 26 awards ceremonies have been successfully held.
