Dialog’s Karuna.lk Recognised as the National “Best Tech For Good” at the SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards

In recognition of its exceptional ability to leverage technology for good, Karuna.lk powered by Dialog Axiata PLC, was accorded the National Award for ‘Best TECH FOR GOOD Software Innovation or Product’ at the SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards 2023.

 Karuna.lk, the first cause-verified crowdfunding platform in Sri Lanka, was recognised for its remarkable contribution towards leveraging technology for social impact. Connecting donors to those in-need, this timely and relevant platform aims to empower and enrich Sri Lankan lives through social stewardship backed by a trusted and secure fundraising engine operating at the highest level of governance. Since its launch in October 2022, the platform has supported 116 initiatives facilitated by 107 charities, of which 30% have been related to healthcare and another 30% attributed to promoting education. The platform ensures complete transparency by providing donors with visibility into the movement of funds to beneficiaries, along with access to a multitude of social causes spanning a wide range of categories, including Healthcare, Community, Education, Emergency, Environment, Sports, Cancer, Animal Welfare, and Volunteering. The Karuna.lk platform was acclaimed for its Accessibility,  Convenience, Transparency and Accountability.
