Dankotuwa Porcelain appoints Miyuru Rajapakshe as CEO

Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC has appointed Miyuru Rajapakshe as Chief Executive Officer.

Rajapakshe holds an MBA with a merit pass from the University of Colombo and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa. He is also certified as a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt by Six Sigma.US in Singapore.

He brings with him extensive experience in operational leadership, strategic execution, financial oversight, business development and stakeholder engagement in transforming manufacturing entities into profitable enterprises. He has served Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC over a period of nine years, initially as Group Head Manufacturing Processes of Ambeon Holdings PLC (former parent company of Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC), thereafter as the Senior General Manager Operations of Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC prior to functioning as the Chief Operating Officer of Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC.

Rajapakshe commenced his career at Ceylon Tobacco Company PLC as a young undergraduate trainee and progressed in his career as Mechanical Engineer at Ansell Lanka Ltd., Continuous Improvement Engineer and Manger Organisational Development at De La Rue Lanka Currency and Security Print Ltd., and Manufacturing Manager at Unilever Sri Lanka Ltd., before his association with Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC.
