Colombo Dockyard PLC has appointed Dilrukshi Kurukulasuriya to its Board as a Non-Executive Independent Director.

Kurukulasuriya is the Executive Director and Chief Human Resources Officer of DIMO PLC. A qualified Attorney-at-Law, she also holds an Executive MBA from the University of West London and has completed specialised training in gender studies through the ILO’s International Training Centre in Turin.

She brings over 25 years of diverse experience in human capital development, having worked across industries and organizational structures. Since joining DIMO in 2008, she has played a pivotal role in elevating the company’s HR practices, leading to sustained recognition for excellence in workplace culture, employee engagement, and gender equity.

She was the first woman appointed to the Board of Directors at DIMO and continues to focus on inclusive talent development, particularly through vocational pathways and initiatives to increase women’s participation in the workforce. Her contributions have been acknowledged both locally and internationally.
