Christmas season just got sweeter with Pelwatte Dairy

‘Tis the season to be jolly and what better way to celebrate than enjoying good food with friends and family? Sri Lanka’s 100% local dairy manufacturer Pelwatte Dairy Industries Ltd. (PDIL) is introducing a range of festive products to ensure their customers do just that.

The latest additions to the already extensive PDIL dairy portfolio includes an ‘Economy’ range of ice-cream flavours. Coffee with Cardamom, Coconut with Cardamom, Butterscotch and Blueberry are already available in the market and will be widely distributed across the island. A new ‘Premium’ range which includes Cream Cheese and Sour Cherry and Peanut Butter Ice-Cream will also be introduced. This range is prepared using natural flavours and permitted colours, and only permitted preservatives. “The two latest flavours to hit the market have been carefully curated and are very unique flavours that you will not find elsewhere. The artisanal ice-creams are perfect for the season and will definitely bring a novel experience to celebrations,” said PDIL’s Managing Director Akmal Wickramanayake.

In addition to the ice-cream flavours, PDIL is also introducing 10g Ceylon Portion Butter in 200 unit packs, 5kg Ceylon Butter Blocks and Fresh and Frozen Cream for all baking needs this Christmas. Made from pure cow’s milk collected from local farmers, Pelwatte and Ceylon Butter are known for their unique taste and texture, trusted by bakers and confectioners at five-star hotels and commercial bakeries. For those who prefer a local delicacy for dessert, PDIL is also introducing Pelwatte Curd this year. It’s not all about the sweet side of life either – PDIL’s Garlic Butter will also hit the shelves for that perfect accompaniment for Christmas dinners.
