Cabinet clears $ 1.8 m Microsoft licencing contract for SriLankan Airlines

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the awarding of a $ 1.816 million contract to provide Microsoft licences and related services for SriLankan Airlines over a two-year period.

According to the Government, bids were called under the Limited National Competitive Procurement Procedure to identify a licensed service provider capable of supplying Microsoft software licenced

and associated services to the national carrier.

“A total of two bids were submitted and evaluated. Following the procurement process, the Cabinet approved to award the contract to Crayon Software Lanka Ltd, identified as the lowest substantially responsive bidder,” Minister Vijitha Herath said at the weekly post-Cabinet meeting media briefing yesterday.

The proposal to this effect, submitted by Ports and Civil Aviation Minister Anura Karunathilake was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
