CPC slashes petrol prices by up to Rs. 20 per litre

  • Diesel and kerosene prices unchanged

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has slashed petrol prices by up to Rs. 20 per litre, while keeping diesel and kerosene prices unchanged.

The price of Petrol 92 was reduced with effect from yesterday by Rs. 15 per litre to Rs. 399 from Rs. 414, while Petrol 95 was cut by Rs. 20 to Rs. 475 from Rs. 495 per litre.

The revised prices came into effect from midnight on 30 August.

The CPC said there would be no change in the prices of Auto Diesel, Super Diesel, and kerosene. Accordingly, the islandwide retail price of Auto Diesel remains at Rs. 382 per litre, Super Diesel at Rs. 478, and kerosene at Rs. 285.
