CIOB holds Sri Lanka Sustainability Awards tomorrow

Sri Lankan Sustainability Awards (SSA)-2025 night, organised by the Ceylon Institute of Builders (CIOB) in partnership with the 13th World Construction Symposium, featuring academic participation from the Building Economics and Management Research Unit (BEMRU) of the University of Moratuwa will take place tomorrow, 16 August at 6 p.m. at Hilton Colombo. 

The event will celebrate sustainable innovation and leadership awards which is endorsed by the Urban Development, Construction and Housing Ministry.

The primary objective of the event is to recognise and promote sustainable practices in the construction industry while inspiriting transformation through leadership, innovation and green advancements.

The Sri Lankan Sustainability Awards (SSA) is a pioneering initiative conceptualised to recognise and celebrate sustainability excellence across the construction ecosystem.

SSA is aligned with global climate goals and national development priorities, offering and inclusive platform to honour individual, organisation, and product/system demonstrating sustainability leadership, innovation, and impact.

The Ceylon Institute of Builders (CIOB) a premier professional body representing Sri Lanka’ s construction industry, is hosting this event to recognizing sustainability leadership in construction across industries. 

Meanwhile, the CIOB will also host the 13 World Construction Symposiums, Sri Lanka’s premier academic and industry platform dedicated to sustainable construction. 

As always, Tokyo Cement Lanka PLC will be the main sponsor in this sustainability development theme of CIOB, with other prominent companies from the Sri Lanka construction industry.

The event will be conducted by the Building Economics and Management Research Unit (BEMRU) of the University of Moratuwa.

The event will bring together global expert, policymakers, and professionals to share research, best practices, and innovations that drive positive change across the build environment.
