BYD Group meets President in Beijing

President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Transport and Highways Minister Bandula Gunawardana held discussions with BYD Company top executives in Beijing last week on potential investment opportunities.

BYD Company is the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer, and is a major manufacturer in automobiles – battery electric and hybrid cars, buses, trucks. 

Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Board of Investment and Port City Economic Commission Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody, Senior Advisor to President Sagala Ratnayake, Presidential Secretariat Director Thekshana Abeyawardana, and Sri Lanka’s Honorary Consul in Shanghai Anura Fernando participated in the discussions.
