Anura Weerakoon has been appointed a Non-Executive Director at Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC.
With 40 years of experience in the plantations industry, Weerakoon worked at Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (KVPL) from 1998-2003. Prior to re-joining the company in 2013, he served as Director of Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC.
He re-joined KVPL as General Manager – Plantations and was appointed CEO and Executive Director to the Board in 2018 in which capacity he served for seven years before retiring in July 2025. He currently serves on the Boards of DPL Plantations Ltd., Kelani Valley Resorts Ltd., and Mabroc Teas Ltd.
