Ace Bangladesh Ltd., has made a contribution of Bangladeshi Taka 500,000 (approximately Rs. 1.26 million) in support of the national disaster relief efforts in Sri Lanka.
The donation was handed over by Bengal Airlift Ltd., Chief Operating Officer – Airlines Division Shumaiz Iqbal and Ace Bangladesh Ltd., General Manager (Branch Manager) Mohammad Moniruzzaman at the Sri Lanka High Commission in Dhaka on 23 December.
Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dharmapala Weerakkody expressed deep appreciation for the generous financial contribution made in solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka by Ace Bangladesh Ltd., Chairman Mehnaz Mannan and Managing Director Arif Rahman.
The High Commissioner also acknowledged the continued goodwill and support extended by the corporate sector in Bangladesh towards Sri Lanka’s humanitarian and disaster relief initiatives.
