AHC Group has entered into a strategic partnership with the Asia Africa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AACCI) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant step towards strengthening international trade and investment ties.

The agreement was signed recently at the Heritance Hotel in Negombo between AHC Group Chairman, International Chamber of Agricultural Plantation Industry and Farmer Producer Organisation (ICAPIFPO) Co-Founder, and Ambassador of Peace Dr. Nalaka Silva, and AACCI President Dr. G.D. Sing.

The MoU is expected to facilitate substantial investment inflows into key sectors including agriculture, tourism, imports and exports, real estate, as well as geology and mining. It is also anticipated to generate meaningful employment opportunities, contributing to Sri Lanka’s broader economic growth and development.

Speaking on the partnership, Dr. Nalaka Silva noted that AHC Group continues to play a pivotal role in advancing Sri Lanka’s agricultural landscape through innovative and sustainable initiatives.

Among its flagship projects, the company’s vermicompost organic fertiliser program has gained widespread acceptance among vegetable, fruit, and flower growers across the country. In line with its commitment to enhancing agricultural productivity, the Group has also commenced large-scale seed paddy cultivation spanning approximately 1,000 acres in the Tissamaharama and Ampara regions, aimed at supporting local farmers and strengthening food security.

Dr. Silva further extended an open invitation to the public to engage with AHC Group’s investment opportunities, highlighting the company’s focus on transparency, trust, and long-term value creation. He expressed confidence that the newly signed agreement with AACCI would unlock significant economic benefits for Sri Lanka, while also fostering stronger international business linkages.

In line with this vision, AHC Group and ICAPIFPO are preparing to host a major international workshop and conference in Sri Lanka this August. The event, organised by the Global India Business Forum (GIBF) in association with ICAPIFPO and AHC Group, is expected to attract global business leaders, industry experts, and professionals from over 25 countries. More than 25 ambassadors and high commissioners are also scheduled to attend, underscoring the event’s international significance.

Dr. Silva emphasised that the upcoming conference will serve as a powerful platform to open new global opportunities for Sri Lankan entrepreneurs and businesses. Further details of the event are expected to be announced through official media channels in the near future.
