As travel restrictions imposed by countries across the globe persist as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sri Lankan Airlines has extended its temporary suspension of passenger flights until 15 May, 2020.

The national carrier's cargo services however will continue to operate its worldwide network, facilitating essential supplies of medical resources and equipment, as well as perishable cargo.

The continuing support of the government and industries during this tumultuous period will serve to bring in vital revenue for the airline, as well as foreign exchange into the country.

In terms of reaching out to Sri Lankans in need, Sri Lankan Airlines will also operate special passenger flights as and when required.
