Seven more persons test positive for COVID-19 today

• 13-month infant tests positive

Seven new COVID-19 patients were diagnosed today, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 804, Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe said.

Of the total seven new patients, six of them are Navy personnel and the other was a 13-month old infant of a Navy couple from the Welisara camp. With today's addition, there are currently 563 active COVID-19 cases. A total of 134 individuals are currently under investigation in hospitals. A total of 1,147 PCR tests were carried out yesterday, while 232 people have been discharged after recovering from the virus.
