The Police has arrested 1,015 persons who violated curfew regulations and detained 254 vehicles used by them in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. today.
The Police, aided by the armed forces, began to strictly enforce curfew regulations last weekend as health authorities named the first two weeks of April to be a critical time period with a possible surge in COVID-19 infected patients. Health authorities and Police warn citizens to adhere to the regulations, maintain social distancing and to remain in their residences during the crisis period.
