Number of COVID-19 patients rises to 91

The number of persons diagnosed with the new novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has risen to 91, with the addition of five more cases today.

Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe said the first local COVID-19 patient was discharged today following recovery.

According to the Health Promotion Bureau.

In addition, there are 227 persons suspected of infection in hospitals.

There are 2,738 persons in 17 dedicated quarantine centres, of whom 30 are foreigners. Several thousands who have returned from overseas are also engaged in self-quarantine in their homes, as per the Government directive.
