14 more test positive for COVID-19

Fourteen more persons tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Tuesday, increasing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 889 and bringing the day's total to 20.

Six positive cases were identified earlier in the day. Nine of the 20 patients reported were Navy officers.

According to the Health Services Department, 366 people have been discharged after recovering from the virus, while 514 active cases are under medical care at a number of hospitals across the country.

A total of 117 individuals suspected of having contracted coronavirus are in hospitals at present, data from the Epidemiology Unit at the Health Ministry showed.
