Over 200 local and international internet specialists will converge in Colombo in October for the APNIC 42 Conference, at the Hilton Colombo.
Running from 3-5 October, the conference is one of the Asia Pacific’s most important Internet events and is supported by local hosts Sri Lanka CERT|CC, as well as ICTA, LEARN, and CSSL.
Staff from governmental organisations, research and educational institutions, internet service providers, data centres, internet exchange points and online content providers from across the Asia Pacific will attend the three-day conference.
Internationally-renowned speakers include Zaid Ali Kahn from LinkedIn, Internet Hall of Fame member Geoff Huston, Farsight Security’s Merike Kaeo, Anurag Bhatia from Hurricane Electric, and many more. Presentations will cover topics such as internet security, the latest in internet infrastructure technologies and operations, women in ICT and more.
“This conference is a valuable opportunity for the internet technology community from across the region to meet with experts in the field, learn about the latest technical trends, share experience with international peers, and deepen professional connections,” said APNIC Director General Paul Wilson.
“This is the first time the APNIC conference has been held in Sri Lanka. I encourage all of Sri Lanka’s network operators and technical specialists to take the opportunity of having the conference in Colombo to attend and share their experiences with some of the world’s foremost experts,” he said.
“We are all excited to arrive in Colombo and grateful for the exceptional hospitality we’ve experienced so far.”
