Think Green wishes to thank all their partners, who made this happen, by taking initiatives to dispose E-waste in an environment friendly manner. Think Green has manufactured the box by using environment friendly materials to ensure it is bio degradable. Today Think Green E-cycling box has proved to be sustainable solution to many companies including leading apparel manufacturers, IT companies, health care and financial institutions for setting up a trend in environmental practice. Bringing pride to Sri Lanka, Think Green was adjudged the Runner’s up at the CAAYE (Commonwealth Asia Alliance Young Entrepreneur) forum. A pioneer in driving sustainability and green business practices through safe and reliable electronic waste management in the country.                     In line with its commitment to eco-friendly business practices, some of Sri Lanka’s large blue chip companies namely Sampath Bank PLC, Janashakthi Insurance PLC, MircoMax and many more partnered with Think Green recently. Electronic recycling is viewed as economically beneficial to our society. It benefits much for our community. Currently, it has created close to 50 job opportunities (directly and in-directly). Think Green Recycling Facility is equipped with advance technology that converts e-waste in to resource while destroying hazardous contents in environment friendly manner. As the mining of new iron ore, copper, aluminum demands on deeper mining, this creates very harmful in terms of energy consumption and pollution. By using right technology to recover these metals from e-waste, less mining will be necessary. All energy saved means cutting down of carbon emissions in times of global warming which is a contribution to our environment. Think Green has recycled over 30,000 units (including CPU systems, printers, mobile, UPS', etc) of e-waste for the past one year alone, since they recycle their electronics in advance technology having recycling centres in Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong. They have preserved over 1.5 million of carbon emissions from entering the atmosphere! This is equivalent to saving 150,000 trees. Think Green along with the Cinnamon Grand Green team did awareness programs in schools, namely Ladies Collage, St. Bridgets Convent, Asian International, British School and British Council, etc. Think Green wishes to thank the Central Environment Authority (CEA) of Sri Lanka for its efforts in making sure the environment is well protected and for guiding them in the right way forward. In line with Think Green’s objective to provide innovative solutions to make Sri Lanka an environment friendly destination of Asia, Think Green’s future looks exciting as it’s establishing partnerships with many other Sri Lankan companies to recycle e-waste in an environment friendly manner.
