Virakesari marks 80 years in print

Chairman of Express Newspapers, publishers of Virakesari, Kumar Nadesan presented President Mahinda Rajapaksa with a special volume to mark 80 years of continued publication of Virakesari.

The volume comprises the front pages of the newspaper on special local and international events of importance. The presentation was made to mark World Press Freedom Day. R. Prabaghan, Chief Editor Virakesari Daily and V. Thevaraj, Editor-in-Chief Virakesari Weekly were also present – Pic by Sudath Silva
