Spring Valley Estate situated in the Uva District established an all time record price of Rs. 700 per kg for a line of BOP1 at the weekly tea auction held on 30 July 2013. This price surpasses the previous all time record price of Rs. 610.This tea was purchased by M/s. J-Cey-Tea on behalf of M/s. Ahamed Teas of London and the sale was conducted by M/s. Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd. Spring Valley Estate is managed by M/s Balangoda Plantations.
