Diyagama West Estate situated in the sub district of Agarapatana has established an-all time record price at the weekly tea auction held on 5 February 2013 by securing an attractive price of Rs. 620 per kilo for a liquoring OP grade.
This price has surpassed the previous records of Rs. 455 for this grade established in 2007. The line was purchased by Imperial Teas Ltd.
Diyagama West Estate is managed by Agarapatana Plantations Ltd. This line of tea was sold by tea brokers John Keells PLC.
