Pettiagalla Estate situated in Balangoda has established an all time record price of Rs. 600 for a liquoring FBOPF1 grade at the weekly tea auction of 3 September 2013, bettering the previous record of Rs. 590, which was set by Glen Alpin Estate back in 2009. Incidentally both of these Estates come under the purview of Balangoda Plantations PLC. This line was purchased by Union Commodities and sold by John Keells PLC, brokers for the produce of this estate.
