Pedro Estate situated in Nuwara Eliya has established an all time record price at this week’s tea auction held on 13 February 2013 by securing an attractive price of Rs. 1,000 per kilo for a liquoring OP grade selling under the ‘Lovers Leap’ mark. Pedro Estate is renowned for producing teas with delicate liquoring characteristics which are sought after by buyers from Japan and Europe.

This line was purchased by M/s Mabroc Teas Pvt Ltd. Pedro Estate is managed by Kelani Valley Plantations. This line of tea was sold by tea brokers M/s John Keells PLC.
