Mattekelle Estate, Managed by Talawakelle Plantations PLC, once again established an ‘All Time Record Price” of Rs.800/- for a line of Dust 1 grade at the weekly Tea Auctions held on the 28th August 2013. This surpasses the previous All Time Record price of Rs.740/- for the same Grade. Mattakelle Estate situated in the Western Planting District is renowned for its well made teas for quality and consistency.
