Kenilworth Estate achieves another all-time record price

Kenilworth estate situated in Ginigathhena has achieved yet another all-time record price at the weekly tea auction of 3 September 2013, improving on the previous record of Rs. 720 for a liquoring OP grade which was established last month. This week a price of Rs. 800 per kg was obtained for the same grade by Kenilworth estate, thereby establishing a new record price. This line was purchased by George Steuarts and sold by John Keells PLC, the sole brokers for the produce of this estate. Kenilworth Estate is managed by Watawala Plantations PLC.
