Carolina Estate establishes another record price for second week running

Carolina Estate, having achieved an all time record price at last week’s tea auction for a BPS grade, this week too secured an all time record price for a BP1 grade in the CTC Medium category, when a line of BP1 consisting of 20 bags was sold at Rs. 470 to RJ Tea Products (Pvt.) Ltd.

Carolina Estate is known to produce a thick coloury tea with good brightness that is sought after by many CTC buyers.

This estate comes under the purview of Watawala Plantations PLC. Once again, this record price was established by tea brokers M/s John Keells PLC.
