Alongside Sri Lanka’s leading tea plantations, Kahawatte Plantations has upheld the proud legacy of Ceylon Tea, earning global recognition and success. Competing against over 5,000 teas from around the world, our Ceylon teas stood tall at the 10th Asia-Pacific Tea Competition 2025 held recently in Beijing, China, securing an outstanding 21 awards: nine Gold and 12 Silver.

This remarkable victory makes Kahawatte Plantations the highest Gold medal winner among Sri Lankan participants, a testament to the dedication, craftsmanship, and passion.

As part of Sri Lanka’s national representation led by the Sri Lanka Tea Board, in collaboration with the Tea Promotion Unit of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing (SLEMB-TPU), Ceylon Tea collectively brought home 48 awards, a celebration of excellence that resonated across the island.

For Kahawatte Plantations, this moment is more than an accolade; it is a reaffirmation of purpose. Winning nine Gold medals in a competition of this magnitude reminds us that true quality cannot be rushed; it must be earned—leaf by leaf, season by season. It is a recognition not only of our teas but of the people behind them.

As we celebrate this milestone, we remain deeply humbled and inspired to continue taking Ceylon Tea to the world. This victory belongs to Sri Lanka, to every grower and every cup that tells our story—a story brewed with purity, authenticity, sustainability, and purpose.
